GHOSTBUSTERS 30TH ANNIVERSARY BANNER

Description

10 years ago, I celebrated the Ghostbusters' 20th anniversary with a banner I posted on the two GB-themed websites I was running at the time.

For the landmark 30th, I decided it was time to update the banner, especially now that Photoshop's tools have come a lot farther than what I had to work with at the time. As I have no website currently to host it on, I was allowed to go more hog-wild with the size. And a good thing, too, as there are now TEN incarnations of the franchise to chronicle. Enjoy.

Featured:
1. Ghostbusters
2. The Real Ghostbusters (taken from the tin from the first season DVD)
3. Marvel UK's The Real Ghostbusters comics (taken from the cover of The Giggling Ghoul and Other Stories collected edition - artist unknown)
4. NOW Comics' The Real Ghostbusters comics (art by John Tobias from The Real Ghostbusters Starring In Ghostbusters II #1 with Slimer from the cover of Slimer! #19 - artist unknown)
5. Ghostbusters II
6. Extreme Ghostbusters
7. 88MPH Studios' Ghostbusters comics (art by Steve Kurth from Ghostbusters: Legion #3 main cover)
8. Tokyopop's graphic novel Ghost Busted (art by Hans Steinbach from the cover)
9. Ghostbusters: The Video Game promo art
10. IDW's Ghostbusters comics (art by ongoing series artist Dan Schoening, taken from the back cover of TPB vol. 4)

Some notes:
-I tried to keep the images as close as possible to each other, but unfortunately for some of the franchises it was harder to do than others.

-I had to fill in some obscured art on the 88MPH and Tokyopop images, while adding arms to Garrett and Egon in the EGB shot. Think they came out pretty good.

-The Marvel and NOW comic dates reflect their respective Slimer! publications as well (Marvel's coming and going during their run and NOW's final publication being a Slimer! 3-D special in 1993).

-I'm aware that the IDW comics started before the video game finally came out, but since it's currently ongoing it seemed a better fit at the end of the timeline. And I recognize other artists launched IDW's license, but rather than list each book separately the IDW license was better represented by the one who's drawn the most issues of their ownership thus far.

-Any of my followers on here who had seen the various GB title logos I've been posting can now probably figure out this is what they were for. However, I did cheat with the GB1 logo, unable to acquire a workable image of the original no-ghost seen there and instead finding a full title to use. The same goes for the video game as I couldn't get the letter effects looking right.

-The choice between the round EGB logo and the funky letters was an easy one. I wanted the EGB no-ghost in there and the funky letters didn't have it.
